Google withdraws from WebKit and launched its Chrome browser for Blink

Google has announced the shutdown of its research partnership with Apple around the WebKit rendering engine. And because, in parallel to joint research, the Mountain View company has worked on the engine open-source rendering home.

Google's goal is to pass WebCore (contained in WebKit) and use Blink. In fact, it helps to reduce the code of its browser Chrome but to slam the door in the open source ... Making annoy more than one, as Google turns "free" in recent years. Obviously, the transition will not be immediate, time to let the developers get to the page. Exit WebKit therefore, Blink will be part of Chrome. The company promises better overall performance and fewer crashes (already small).
