New Nexus 7: best on all points?

Google introduces its new 7-inch tablet which, without a revolution seems to be a solid improvement in almost all levels.

The least secret shelf high-tech world has been officially unveiled yesterday by Google. A product that looks already highly competitive in the segment of 7 inches and which, given its characteristics, seems to offer a good quality / price ratio. Always designed in partnership with Asus, the new Nexus 7 - Android 4.3 - generally follows the format and design of its predecessor (however, it is 23g lighter and thinner 2 mm), but sees its hardware boosted to almost all points.

So exit the Tegra 3 Welcome to Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core clocked at 1.5 GHz, with its Adreno 320 GPU: identical to that of the Nexus 4 processor, which has shown excellent performance in our tests . The amount of memory is itself doubled to 2GB, while storage space is seen as increased to 16 or 32 GB depending on the model purchased. Side camera and camera, complaints were heard by Google, which has finally decided to put a photo sensor to the rear of 5 megapixels. This adds to the front camera, 1.2 mp still.

But the biggest surprise is the screen that shows the definition greatly increase: as we move from a slab of displaying 1280 x 800 on the old model, 1920 x 1200 or 323 dpi. The LED-backlit IPS is still valid, as the protection of Gorilla Glass. Finally, the last improvement: the arrival of a 4G version of the tablet, the United States initially.

Sold for $ 229 (for 16GB) and $ 269 (for 32 GB) on July 30 in the USA, at Amazon, Best Buy, Radioshack, and the Play Store, the new Nexus 7 will arrive in the coming weeks in Europe, and certainly before the end of August with us. Needless to say that we can not wait to have it in our hands.
