The iPad Mini swallowed sales mini iPad

Success has its drawbacks. The Apple iPad Mini is proving to be the popular new tablet 8 inch, but many note that its success may have come at the expense of the original 10-inch iPad. According to DigiTimes, it reports that among Apple's 19.5 million iPads sold in the last three months, about 12.5 million of them were iPad Minis. If this proves true, this indicates that the iPad Mini is much more popular than the traditional iPad, reportedly sold only 7 million units - 11.8 million iPads have been sold at this time last year.

The site says that leads to a resurgence of 7 inches - 8 inches! And, indeed, rival Samsung has already released a direct competitor of the Mini, Galaxy Note 8.0 and it seems that the South Korean firm already has plans to address this new market with a new Galaxy Tab 7-inch 3 in the near future. Although Microsoft is rumored to be working on a Windows 8 tablet smaller.
