The new iPad Mini may be delayed for 2014

The last received for the Apple iPad Mini. Since last November, we heard about the arrival of a new mini version of Apple's popular tablet, not a week passed without hearing rumors about the upgrade Apple product.

Now it seems that Apple could miss its year as the long-awaited refresh of the iPad Mini may not see the update for 2013, indeed, DigiTimes reports that production of the second iteration of the iPad Mini will not start until the fourth quarter of 2013, the report cites "sources close to the supply chain industry," indicating that the end of the order process will push the launch of the product beyond the holidays season, and thus arrive for September 2014.

According to DigiTimes sources, the tablet is expected to have the same 7.9 inch screen as the iPad Mini today, but will offer a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, is the long-awaited resolution Retina who seems she failed to initial iPad Mini. In addition, it is expected that the bezel, already thin on the iPad Mini could be even thinner.

Although the iPad Mini could not get for Christmas, DigiTimes also reported that the fifth-generation iPad will be sold in the course of 2013. The device is, not surprisingly, rumored to be both thinner and lighter than the current iPad. The production of the latter is considered to begin in July.
